A number of respected European Torah authorities have arrived to participate in the event.
The conference has included in its lineup professional Mashgichim and representatives with years of practical experience in Europe and worldwide.
700 Rabbonim belong to the RCE and recieve support and assistance from the organization. The convention is taking place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, situated in the heart of the EU complex, under tight security.
Rabbi Aryeh Goldberg, assistant director of the RCE, greeted the respected guests, and Rabbi Dovid Moshe Lieberman of Antwerp was honored to deliver the opening remarks. Rabbi Leiberman presented the maamar Chazal that "one should not say I am unable to eat the flesh of a swine, rather say, I am able, but I am commanded by Hashem not to eat this."
Rabbi Lieberman stressed that kashrus is not something that is ruled by feelings or emotions, rather by Divine command.
Rabbi Motti Hasofer, Kashrus expert in Rabbi Moshe Landa's kashrus organization, reported some eye opening information that surprised the assembled. It seems that no product can be taken for granted as kosher in today's world. Rabbi Chaim Lasri of the Israeli Rabnbinate, shocked the audience as he related the words of a Rabbi who was passing off cholov akum as cholov Yisroel, with no compunctions.
Rabbi Shmuel Pinson- Brussels, Rabbi Yitzchok Niazov- Vienna, Rabbi Avrohom David- London, gave over divrei Torah.
Fleishman productions is coordinating the convention.
