‘770’ Being Built Near Moscow
Russia has officially joined the movement of Jewish communities around the world in building Synagogues, planned and constructed in the same architectural style of the ‘770’ center of the worldwide Chabad Lubavitch movement in Brooklyn, New York. Soon, such a building will be completed in the town of Ramenskoye, in the Moscow Region. Yesterday, this 770 project has reached a new stage, with the completion of the building’s outer shell. Rabbi Yitzchak Kogan, who heads the Synagogue on Bolshaya Bronnaya in Moscow, is spearheading this massive undertaking • Photo Gallery

Yesterday, Rabbi Yitzchak Kogan and members of the Jewish community gathered in order to celebrate the completion of this fundamental stage in the construction process for the 770 building in Ramenskoye. A good number of youth were also involved in the festivities, excited by the fact that this significant project has reached Russia and that they could witness its establishment and eventually play a role in its development.

The 770 in Ramenskoye will incorporate a number of essential institutions for the operation of the Jewish community, including a Synagogue. The building will also accommodate a library, a swimming pool, rooms for conducting seminars and gatherings, a gym, and a museum featuring an exhibition on the original 770 building in Brooklyn.
