Every year Rabbi Shmuel Azimov organizes a summer get-away for youngsters in the Alps. Families of Anash rent cabins near by and enjoy a full Collel with Shiurim in Nigleh and Chassidus, and Chassidishe Farbrengens. At the conclusion of the weekend the everyone present gathered for the above group photo.

"Mr. Wiseman is a Chabad member in Sarasota Florida that we met in the Cyrus Hotel. Lukka is a Jewish man that we met in his store. He was taking us all around town showing us all the Jewish people. They Call him "the unofficial Mayor." Healdsburg only has about 10,000 people living there".

Chabad House goes "underground": The building which once housed chabad of Bombay, otherwise known as Narimon House, sits mostly destroyed and vacant since the massacre. In the interim, a temporary chabad center is being run out of an apartment several minutes away from Norimon House, in an undisclosed location. The Chabad House is operating under strict secrecy due to the fear and shock still fresh on the hearts of locals. A hand written sign hung outside the bombed chabad house asks visitors to leave their information for the Shluchim to contact them regarding services.

Rabbi Yisroel Silberstein, the Shliach who was recently expelled from his position in Russia's Primorye region, was photographed this morning as he got an Aliyah in the Marina Roscha Synagogue in Moscow, on his way to the airport for his flight returning to the United States.

This week, R' Yakov Shustkov from Moscow got back from climbing mount Kilamanjaro, which peaks at a height of 5,895 meters (19,330 ft) above sea level. Before leaving for his trek, Shustkov asked the Temimim in Moscow for a chabad symbol that he can place at the peak, and of course, they handed him a Moshiach Flag. After over a month of intense cross-training, our friend climbed the mountain, one of the tallest in the world. After an exhausting climb to Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Kilimanjaro, he donned tefillin, davened shachris, and hung the flag.

But the menorah which won the competition left all who saw it teary eyed, and defiant at the same time. At the end of last week, in the name of the thousands of guests who came to spend Tishrei in the Rebbe's Daled Amos, a huge sign was hung over Kingston Ave. thanking the Crown Heights community for hosting the guests. The sign has the words "Many thanks to every single Crown Heights resident" written on it, and is adorned with balloons. The sign was placed by the staff of Eshel - Hachnosas Orchim, in the words of one of the organizations leading organizers "we felt the need to thank the community, although the sign is only a tiny token of our appreciation, we thank every family for their assistance whether it be providing meals, room and board, or a donation of any other sort to this great effort".

Drink responsibly - It's the Chassidishe thing to do. The above signs have been posted all around Crown Heights in preparation for Simchas Torah, reminding everyone to drink responsibly. The campaign is an initiative of the NCFJE, aimed at preventing the unfortunately common Simchas Torah brawls and other reckless behavior which are a result of irresponsible alcohol consumption.

Containers were transported to 770 earlier today which will be used as temporary storage facilities. The containers were organized by the Gabboim of 770 as a solution to the usual mountainous piles of suitcases found in the lobby of 770, which pose both a security hazard and a simple mess.

Members of the Crown Heights Shmira safety patrol at the World Trade Center minutes after the collapse of the second tower. Most of the Shmira members who were on scene are certified EMT'S and they helped treat and transport badly injured victims to the hospital. Following the attack they remained on site for three days to help recover victims of the attack.

Earlier today (Monday), a blood drive took place in Crown Heights, under the auspices of the Chessed organization directed by R' Yossi Tevel at the Lubavitcher Yeshiva. Among the hundreds of local residents who participated was the Mashpiya R' Barel Lipsker, who while donating blood, (as is seen in the photo), used his time for some learning.

Musical entertainment for the dinner will be provided by up and coming star -Benny Friedman and child protégé Baruch Tzfasman. The duo met last night at the Rovey Benet studio for final rehearsals. The dinner is one of several performances by Friedman as part of his tour in Eretz Yisroel organized by his manager Dovidi Crombie.

Kidush Levana wasn't done on Motzei Shabbos due to cloudy skies. After Kiddush Levana there was singing and dancing as per the famous directive of the Rebbe Melech Hamoshiach regarding Kiddush Halevana.

Only the words 'Hakadosh Baruch Hu' survived the kassam: One of the rockets that fell Friday night in Sderot landed a direct hit on the car of a local Lubavitcher Chossid. The flames engulfed the entire car leaving nothing intact except for the words Hakadosh Baruch Hu which were part of a sign that hung in the rear window. Thank G-d nobody was injured in the attack.

Chabad.info photographer, Meir Alfasi recently left on Shlichus to southern India, where he plans on opening a Chabad house for the coming winter season. Already on his first day there he went to put on Tefillin with local Israeli tourists who responded enthusiastically to the news that a new Chabad house will be opening in the area. Even the local Goyim were happy to receive Moshiach cards with an explanation on the Sheva Motzvos Bnei Noach.

Rabbi Dovid Nachshon, the director of Mobile Chabad - the Mitzvah Tanks in Israel, has informed Chabad.info that two new Mitzvah Tanks are presently at sea and are scheduled to arrive in Israel in a few weeks. The "Tanks" left on Wednesday, October 10. Pictured above are the vehicles parked in the bowels of the ship.

As we reported, thousands of Chassidei Chabad from all over France came to Plene, nestled in the French Alps for a vacation filled with Chassidishe inspiration. Every year Harav Shmuel Azimov organizes a summer get-away for youngsters in the Alps. Families of Anash rent cabins near by and enjoy a full Collel with Shiurim in Nigleh and Chassidus, and Chassidishe Farbrengens. At the conclusion of the weekend the everyone present participated in the above group picture.
